Job Description

From a chair in an armed response control room in East London, you guide officers in the field to where they are needed. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Location: East London, Eastern Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What you'll actually do

Pull and save video footage for incident investigations
Report camera faults and offline sites to the technicians
Keep call-out times and client passwords up to date
Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement
Talk down intruders over on-site speakers when the system allows

Must-haves

Computer literate and quick on a keyboard
Matric
Able to stay focused through 12-hour day and night shifts
No criminal convictions (vetting is done before you start)
PSIRA registration, Grade C or higher
Good memory for sites, streets and procedures
