Mine Security Supervisor

A security company in Kariega wants a firm, fair supervisor for its residential estate. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll be based at a residential estate in Kariega. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
• Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
• Do surprise night visits to check posts
• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
• Order and issue uniform, radios and torches

• Firm with staff but fair and consistent
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Available after hours for emergencies
• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
• Matric, with a security management course a plus

• Labour relations or basic supervision course
• Computer skills for rosters in Excel or a workforce app

• Management training for growth to operations manager
• Cellphone allowance
• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles
• Provident fund and funeral cover

• Mention how you handled absenteeism or roster gaps. It is the biggest daily headache for security companies.
• If you have been upgraded through the grades, show the progression. It proves you grew on the job.
