Off-Site Video Monitoring Operator

From a chair in a shopping mall security office in Rustenburg, you guide officers in the field to where they are needed. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The site is in Rustenburg; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Talk down intruders over on-site speakers when the system allows
• Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement
• Answer alarm signals and phone clients to verify them
• Report camera faults and offline sites to the technicians
• Dispatch the nearest response vehicle over the radio
• Hand over open incidents clearly at shift change

• Good memory for sites, streets and procedures
• PSIRA registration, Grade C or higher
• Able to stay focused through 12-hour day and night shifts
• No criminal convictions (vetting is done before you start)

• Path to senior controller or supervisor
• Shift allowance for nights
• Training on the monitoring software
• Indoor, air-conditioned work environment
