Strong back, sharp eyes on the load sheet: that is what a parcel sorting hub in Isando wants. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Home base is a parcel sorting hub on the Isando side of Gauteng. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks

• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips

• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
• Past work as a driver's assistant
• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)

• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Help to get your own licence through the company later

• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
