Job Description

Machines set the pace at this industrial bakery in Brakpan; you keep up and catch the faults. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll be based at an industrial bakery in Brakpan. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

What you'll actually do

Feed raw material or empty packaging into the machine at the start of the line
Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card
Check product for size, weight and seal faults and pull out rejects
Stop the line with the emergency stop if anything jams or looks unsafe
Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley
Help the machine operator clear jams and reload hoppers
Hand over at shift change with notes on rejects and stoppages

What you need

Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
Available for rotating day and night shifts
Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
Neat, reliable and on time for shift start

Nice if you have

NQF Level 2 manufacturing learnership completed
Some basic first-aid training
