Job Description

Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this furniture retailer warehouse in Kathu, and you move the stock in between. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is in Kathu (Northern Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

What your day looks like

Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count

Must-haves

Willing to travel on routes that return late
No criminal record
Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
Friendly with customers at the door

Nice if you have

A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)
Basic furniture assembly skills
Speaking more than one local language for customer drops

What you get

Help to get your own licence through the company later
Route-completion incentives in busy months
Meal allowance on long-route days
Uniform and safety shoes provided

Applying, step by step

Make sure the role, the hours and working in Kathu really suit you before you apply.
Keep copies of these ready to send: CV noting any loading, moving or delivery work, clear copy of your ID with a certification stamp plus police clearance if you already have one.
Fill in the short form below with your name and a phone number you actually answer.
Watch for a call or WhatsApp from How2Apply over the next 8 working days.

Your application joins the How2Apply talent pool for this role, and we put shortlisted people forward to employers hiring in and around Kathu.

Applying is free. Nobody from How2Apply will ever ask you to pay for anything to get this job.

Before you hit apply

If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
