Offloader (Container Depot) – Immediate Start

You'll load and offload trucks at a beverage depot in Sandton so every delivery goes out full and correct. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

The work is in Sandton, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts

• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day

• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)
• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops

• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Route-completion incentives in busy months

• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
• Keep your CV to one page with your phone number big and clear. Depot managers phone, they seldom email.
