Onsite IT Support Engineer (Corporate Office) – Entry Level

Get hands-on support experience at a hospital group in Isando, from password resets to new laptop builds. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Home base is a hospital group on the Isando side of Gauteng. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations
• Replace faulty hardware and log warranty claims with suppliers
• Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves
• Write short how-to guides for common user problems
• Escalate network and server faults to second or third line with good notes
• Visit branches or sites to fix issues that need hands on the machine
• Image, set up and hand over new laptops and desktops

• Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
• At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)
• Patient and friendly with non-technical users
• Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
• Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365

• CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
• ITIL Foundation
• Experience supporting point-of-sale or medical devices

• Company laptop and cellphone
• Travel allowance for field technicians
• Standby pay for after-hours cover
