Job Description

Outdoor work with your hands on a citrus farm near Mokopane; no experience needed for most posts. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is a citrus farm on the Mokopane side of Limpopo. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What your day looks like

Wash hands and use the field toilets for food safety
Keep your picking card or tag count for daily pay
Tie up tomato and pepper plants in tunnels
Clean and store picking bags, ladders and secateurs
Pick fruit or vegetables at the right ripeness and size, gently
Fill crates or bins and carry them to the collection point

You'll need

Follows farm hygiene and safety rules
Careful with fruit, since bruised fruit is rejected
Available for the full harvest season
Physically fit for bending, lifting and climbing ladders

Nice if you have

Previous harvest or picking experience
Pruning experience on vines or fruit trees
Living on or near the farm
