Order Picker (Cold Store) – Entry Level

Pick it right, pack it neat, send it out: that's the job at a spares and hardware warehouse in Isando. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

This post is in Isando (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight

• You can read product codes and count accurately
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)

• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate

• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals

• Put your cellphone number and the area you live in at the very top of your CV. Warehouse recruiters phone fast and hire people close by.
• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
