Outbound Insurance Sales Agent (Commission Plus Basic) – Entry Level

Selling financial products in Stellenbosch means knowing the rules as well as the pitch. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

This post is Stellenbosch-based, with most of your time spent at a financial advice practice. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Track daily sales, conversions and lapse rates on the team board.
• Explain waiting periods, exclusions and premiums in plain terms.
• Treat clients fairly under TCF rules and never oversell.
• Call warm leads from the dialler and qualify them in the first minute.
• Follow up on quotes sent and chase missing documents.

• FAIS fit and proper: clean credit and criminal record
• Matric, including Maths or Maths Literacy
• RE5 passed, or willing to write it within the first year
• Six months or more of sales, telesales or call centre work

• RE5 exam fees and study material paid
• CPD hours logged and funded
• Medical aid and group life cover once permanent
• Monthly sales competitions with cash prizes

• If you have passed RE5, say so in your headline; it is the first filter in most financial sales ads.
• Show commission history with real figures from payslips; interviewers trust numbers over claims.
