Job Description

Machines set the pace at this soft drink bottling plant in Sandton; you keep up and catch the faults. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Location: Sandton, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

  • Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card
  • Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run
  • Feed raw material or empty packaging into the machine at the start of the line
  • Stop the line with the emergency stop if anything jams or looks unsafe
  • Wear hairnets, beard covers and gloves in food-safe zones

Must-haves

  • Available for rotating day and night shifts
  • Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
  • You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
  • Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
  • Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area
