  • Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card
  • Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run

  • Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
  • No problem wearing full PPE, including ear protection

Nice if you have

  • A food handler or basic HACCP awareness certificate
  • Some basic first-aid training

  • Free PPE, overalls and hairnets
  • Path to machine operator after six months

Applying, step by step

  1. Check you meet the must-haves first; recruiters filter on those before anything else.
  2. Get these ready, because shortlisted people are asked for them straight away: your latest school results or matric certificate, CV listing any factory or packing work, even short-term plus ID copy, certified within the last three months.
  3. Send your details with the form below. Add one or two lines about similar work you've done.
  4. Watch for a call or WhatsApp from How2Apply over the next 10 working days.

How2Apply recruits for this position on behalf of hiring employers around Sandton; applications go into our talent pool and shortlisted candidates are introduced directly.

How to stand out

  • Do not wear jewellery or long nails to the interview if it is on site. Food factories notice and it counts.
  • Mention that you can work rotating shifts right at the top. It is the first thing most factories filter on.
