Voice-Picking Warehouse Assistant

This is steady, physical warehouse work at a building-supplies depot in Springs, and nobody minds if it's your first job. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll report in Springs. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin

• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)

• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner
• Basic computer skills for capturing counts
• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment

• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
