Packhouse Worker (Citrus Season)

Quick hands and good eyes are all an avocado packhouse near Kimberley really needs from you. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

The work is in Kimberley, Northern Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Sort fruit by size, colour and blemish on the packing line
• Stick labels and batch codes on each carton
• Build pallets to the correct height and strap them
• Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight
• Check fruit samples and record quality results on the QC sheet
• Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run

• Quick and neat with your hands
• Able to stand at a line for long shifts
• Valid ID or permit
• Arrives on time for early shifts

• Previous packhouse work
• Forklift licence for palletising roles
• Matric for QC posts

• Overtime pay during peak weeks
• Transport from nearby towns
• Rehire for next season if you perform well
