Paint Preparer (Body Shop) – Fixed-Term

You'll bring accident-damaged cars back to factory standard at the insurance-approved accident repair centre in eMalahleni. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

The site is in eMalahleni; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

• Mix paint colours with a spectrophotometer and the mixing scheme
• Pull and straighten chassis damage on a measuring jig
• Spray base coat and 2K clear coat in the booth
• Photograph repair stages for the insurance assessor
• Repair dents with hammers, dollies and a stud welder
• Fit new panels using spot welding and bonding methods

• Good colour vision and a steady hand
• A portfolio or references from previous body shops
• Able to work to insurer repair times and quality standards
• Physically able to stand, bend and kneel for long periods
• Knowledge of spray booth safety and respirator use

• Measuring jig and electronic measuring experience
• Experience as a workshop controller in a body shop
• ADAS camera and sensor recalibration after repairs

• Clean, modern booth and prep area
