Job Description

The wiring harness factory in Kariega needs operators who follow the standard work and speak up when something is wrong. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is in Kariega (Eastern Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

What you'll actually do

Load and unload robotic welding cells safely
Take part in kaizen ideas to improve your station
Rotate between stations as the team leader plans
Pull the andon cord when a defect or safety issue appears
Keep your station clean using 5S rules

What you need

Grade 12 certificate
Can follow written and visual work instructions
Lives close enough to reach the plant on time for every shift
Good eyesight and hand coordination
Willing to work rotating shifts, including nights
Able to stand for a full shift and do repeat tasks without losing focus

Helpful, not essential

Forklift licence for material handling
NQF 2 in Automotive Manufacturing and Assembly through merSETA
