Paintless Dent Removal Technician – Fixed-Term

You'll bring accident-damaged cars back to factory standard at the insurance-approved accident repair centre in Tembisa. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

• Repair dents with hammers, dollies and a stud welder
• Mix paint colours with a spectrophotometer and the mixing scheme
• Cut and polish to remove dust marks and orange peel
• Spray base coat and 2K clear coat in the booth
• Fit new panels using spot welding and bonding methods
• Photograph repair stages for the insurance assessor
• Apply filler, sand and prime to a smooth, ready surface

• Good colour vision and a steady hand
• Knowledge of spray booth safety and respirator use
• Experience with modern waterborne or high-solids paint systems
• Panel beating or spray painting trade test, or at least 4 years of proven work
• Able to work to insurer repair times and quality standards

• Measuring jig and electronic measuring experience
• Experience as a workshop controller in a body shop
