Patrol Officer (Warehouse Perimeter)

You'll control who comes in and out of a construction yard in Pinetown, and log every visitor properly. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

Home base is a construction yard on the Pinetown side of KwaZulu-Natal. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it

• Clean criminal record
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Speaks and writes basic English
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers

• Stable long-term site contracts
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Provident fund contributions
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training

• List the types of sites you have guarded, like estate, mall or factory. Security companies place officers by site experience.
• Make sure your PSIRA fees are paid. A lapsed registration gets your CV thrown out, even if you have years of experience.
