Patrol Officer (Warehouse Perimeter)

Residents and staff at a construction yard in Soweto need to feel safe when they arrive; that is your job. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The work is in Soweto, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags

• Speaks and writes basic English
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Alert, polite and firm with the public

• Firefighting or evacuation training
• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers

• Provident fund contributions
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Stable long-term site contracts
