Paving Layer (Interlocking Pavers) – Immediate Start

You'll build it with your hands: walls, floors, roofs and finishes on the housing development site in Kuruman. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll report in Kuruman. Relocation is not covered for this one.

• Build and strip formwork for columns, beams and slabs
• Clean your tools and sweep your work area before knocking off
• Mix mortar and plaster to the right ratio for the job
• Lay paving on a compacted, levelled bedding sand layer
• Plaster walls and float them to a smooth, even finish
• Tile floors, showers and splashbacks, including cutting around fittings

• Understands basic site safety like scaffolds and open trenches
• Able to follow a foreman's instructions and read basic measurements
• Safety boots of your own for the first week, if possible
• Proven experience in at least one trade, shown by references or a practical test
• Punctual every morning, even in winter

• Trade test in bricklaying, carpentry or plastering
• Experience on NHBRC-registered housing projects

• Transport from a pick-up point to site
• Weekly or fortnightly pay, always on time
• PPE supplied: hard hat, gloves, reflective vest

• Bring photos of your work on your phone. A foreman believes a straight wall more than a long CV.
• Be ready to do a short practical test on site. Arrive early with your own tools if you have them.
