Job Description

You'll mix, carry, dig and clean up so the tradespeople on a road rehabilitation project in Richards Bay can keep building. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll report in Richards Bay. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What you'll actually do

Clear rubble and load it into skips
Erect and strip shutters and simple scaffolding under supervision
Cut and lay paving bricks along string lines
Compact soil and layer bedding sand with a plate compactor
Sign the daily safety talk register before work starts

Must-haves

Prepared to travel between sites in the area
A clean record is preferred for some government sites
Physically strong and fit for outdoor work in all weather
Grade 8 or higher
Willing to start early, often at 06:30

Nice if you have

A working-at-heights or scaffolding ticket
Registered on your ward or municipal job-seeker database
