Payroll and HR Administrator (SME)

You'll run weekly and monthly payrolls for a labour-heavy mining contractor in George, from clock data to bank file. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is George-based, with most of your time spent at a labour-heavy mining contractor. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Compile bi-annual EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates
• Release the salary bank file for authorisation
• Process garnishee orders and third-party deductions
• Run weekly and monthly payrolls and check the variance reports
• Submit Compensation Fund returns of earnings

• Matric plus a payroll certificate or diploma
• Comfortable with Excel reconciliations
• Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA
• At least 2 years of full-function payroll
• You keep salary information private under POPIA

• Experience with medical aid and pension fund reconciliations
• Knowledge of employment equity and WSP reporting
• Bargaining council wage experience, such as MIBCO or the security sector

• Structured increases linked to certification
