Payroll Clerk (Sage 300 People, Weekly Paid Staff)

A hospitality group in Epping needs a payroll person who never misses a cut-off. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll be based at a hospitality group in Epping. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Answer staff payslip queries clearly and in private
• Compile bi-annual EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates
• Import clock-card data and check overtime against approved hours
• Release the salary bank file for authorisation
• Process garnishee orders and third-party deductions

• You keep salary information private under POPIA
• Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA
• At least 2 years of full-function payroll
• Reliable with deadlines that cannot move
• Matric plus a payroll certificate or diploma

• Paid SAPP membership
• Remote work outside payroll week
• Structured increases linked to certification

• Never attach real payslips from a past employer; blank out names if you use one as an example.
• Say how many employees you paid and how often, such as "1,200 weekly-paid staff on VIP"; volume matters.
