Payroll Officer (VIP Payroll)

Accurate payslips, clean tax filings and happy staff: that's the job at a labour-heavy mining contractor in Coega. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Location: Coega, Eastern Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Release the salary bank file for authorisation
• Compile bi-annual EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates
• Answer staff payslip queries clearly and in private
• Process garnishee orders and third-party deductions
• Declare UIF on uFiling and help staff with UI-19 forms

• Experience on Sage 300 People, VIP, PaySpace or SimplePay
• You keep salary information private under POPIA
• Comfortable with Excel reconciliations
• At least 2 years of full-function payroll
• Matric plus a payroll certificate or diploma

• Knowledge of employment equity and WSP reporting
• Experience with medical aid and pension fund reconciliations

• Remote work outside payroll week

• Paid SAPP membership
