Payroll Officer (VIP Payroll)

A security services company in Mthatha needs a payroll person who never misses a cut-off. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a security services company on the Mthatha side of Eastern Cape.

• Run weekly and monthly payrolls and check the variance reports
• Capture new hires, terminations, increases and deductions before cut-off
• Submit Compensation Fund returns of earnings
• Answer staff payslip queries clearly and in private
• Import clock-card data and check overtime against approved hours

• Comfortable with Excel reconciliations
• Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA
• Reliable with deadlines that cannot move
• At least 2 years of full-function payroll
• Matric plus a payroll certificate or diploma
• You keep salary information private under POPIA

• Bargaining council wage experience, such as MIBCO or the security sector
• Experience with medical aid and pension fund reconciliations

• Remote work outside payroll week
• Paid SAPP membership
• Structured increases linked to certification
• Group life and disability cover

• Say how many employees you paid and how often, such as "1,200 weekly-paid staff on VIP"; volume matters.
• Mention EMP501 and IRP5 by name; employers want proof you can handle the year-end tax cycle.
