Payroll Officer (VIP Payroll)

A security services company in Umhlanga needs a payroll person who never misses a cut-off. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll report in Umhlanga. Relocation is not covered for this one. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Import clock-card data and check overtime against approved hours
• Submit Compensation Fund returns of earnings
• Run weekly and monthly payrolls and check the variance reports
• Answer staff payslip queries clearly and in private
• Compile bi-annual EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates
• Capture new hires, terminations, increases and deductions before cut-off

• Matric plus a payroll certificate or diploma
• Reliable with deadlines that cannot move
• Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA
• You keep salary information private under POPIA
• Experience on Sage 300 People, VIP, PaySpace or SimplePay

• Bargaining council wage experience, such as MIBCO or the security sector
• Experience with medical aid and pension fund reconciliations
