Payroll Officer (VIP Premier)

This security services company in Prospecton needs someone who knows payroll tax and SARS inside out. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is in Prospecton (KwaZulu-Natal). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Prepare EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates twice a year.
• Capture new hires, terminations and changes on Sage 300 People or VIP.
• Submit the monthly EMP201 on SARS eFiling and pay PAYE, UIF and SDL.
• Calculate leave pay, notice pay and severance on terminations.
• Run the payroll, check variances and get sign-off before cut-off.

• Strong Excel, especially VLOOKUP and pivot tables
• SARS eFiling and EMP501 reconciliations without supervision
• Trusted with confidential salary data
• Matric plus a payroll, bookkeeping or HR qualification
• At least 2 years running a full payroll end to end

• Study assistance for payroll certification
• Hybrid work outside month-end week
• Medical aid and retirement fund
• 13th cheque
