Job Description

Payday is sacred, and at this retail head office in Umhlanga you'll make sure it lands right. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Location: Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

What you'll actually do

Run the payroll, check variances and get sign-off before cut-off.
Prepare EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates twice a year.
Reconcile medical aid, pension and provident fund schedules.
Submit the monthly EMP201 on SARS eFiling and pay PAYE, UIF and SDL.
Import clock-card data and check overtime against the BCEA limits.
Declare UIF on uFiling and assist staff with UI-19 forms.
Capture new hires, terminations and changes on Sage 300 People or VIP.

What you need

Hands-on Sage 300 People, VIP, PaySpace or SimplePay
SARS eFiling and EMP501 reconciliations without supervision
Strong Excel, especially VLOOKUP and pivot tables
Matric plus a payroll, bookkeeping or HR qualification
You triple-check figures before anything is paid

Helpful, not essential

Bargaining council levy and wage-rate experience
SAPA (South African Payroll Association) membership or certification
ETI claim experience
