Job Description

Write clean code, review pull requests and fix what breaks at a software development house in Centurion. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is Centurion-based, with most of your time spent at a software development house.

The work, day to day

Handle personal data safely, with POPIA rules in mind
Design database tables and write efficient SQL queries
Write unit and integration tests before you merge
Pick up tickets from the sprint board and estimate the work
Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs

You'll need

Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
A computer science or IT qualification, or a portfolio that proves you can build
Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
Experience writing automated tests
Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
