Reporting Analyst (Retail Sales)

You'll turn messy data into reports managers actually use, for a microlender in Germiston. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

The work is in Germiston, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Write SQL to pull, join and clean data from several sources
• Build ETL pipelines in SSIS, Azure Data Factory or Python
• Meet business users to turn their questions into report requirements
• Automate weekly reports that used to take hours in Excel
• Check data quality and trace odd numbers back to the source
• Keep a data dictionary so everyone uses the same definitions
• Mask or remove personal information in data sets under POPIA

• Able to explain what the numbers mean, not just show them
• Careful with sensitive customer data
• Advanced Excel
• Strong SQL, including joins, window functions and CTEs
• Degree in statistics, maths, computer science, economics or a related field
