PHP Developer (Laravel)

You'll build and ship features that real users touch every day, for an e-commerce platform in Rosslyn. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

This post is Rosslyn-based, with most of your time spent at an e-commerce platform. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs
• Handle personal data safely, with POPIA rules in mind
• Design database tables and write efficient SQL queries
• Pair with junior developers to unblock them
• Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
• Investigate production bugs using logs and monitoring dashboards
• Write, test and refactor code in your team's main language

• Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
• Experience writing automated tests
• Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
• Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
• Good SQL and understanding of relational databases

• Docker and Kubernetes experience
• Knowledge of secure coding and the OWASP Top 10
