Senior Python Developer (Data Platforms)

You'll build and ship features that real users touch every day, for an e-commerce platform in Benoni. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

You'll be based at an e-commerce platform in Benoni. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
• Write unit and integration tests before you merge
• Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
• Write, test and refactor code in your team's main language
• Investigate production bugs using logs and monitoring dashboards
• Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning
• Document how your features work for support and new developers

• A computer science or IT qualification, or a portfolio that proves you can build
• You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
• Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
• Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
• Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days

• Public GitHub portfolio or published app
• Docker and Kubernetes experience
