Job Description

The iron ore beneficiation plant near Kimberley needs operators who can run their area safely on a 24-hour shift cycle. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll report in Kimberley. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What you'll actually do

Call maintenance for bearing noise, belt damage or leaks
Check pumps, cyclones and thickeners on the plant walk
Take samples at set times and bring them to the lab
Hand over the plant to the next shift with a clear status report
Clean spillage and keep walkways free of hazards

You'll need

Basic computer skills for SCADA screens and logs
Grade 12 with mathematics and physical science
Certificate of fitness from the mine medical station
MQA minerals processing certificate at NQF 2 or higher
Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays
Comfortable around noise, dust and heights while wearing full PPE

Nice if you have

Control room experience
Laboratory or sampling experience
