Plasterer (Internal and External Walls) – Permanent

The housing development site in Rustenburg needs skilled hands and helpers who know the basics of the building trade. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is in Rustenburg (North West). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Clean your tools and sweep your work area before knocking off
• Lay paving on a compacted, levelled bedding sand layer
• Mix mortar and plaster to the right ratio for the job
• Fix roof trusses, purlins and brandering for ceilings
• Lay face brick and plaster brick to line, level and plumb

• Punctual every morning, even in winter
• Able to follow a foreman's instructions and read basic measurements
• Safety boots of your own for the first week, if possible
• Willing to move between sites in the same city
• Physically strong enough for a full day of lifting and bending outside
• Understands basic site safety like scaffolds and open trenches

• PPE supplied: hard hat, gloves, reflective vest
• UIF and COIDA registration from day one
• Chance to move up to a gang leader post
• Transport from a pick-up point to site

• Say which trade you are strongest in first. "Bricklayer, 6 years, face brick" is better than "general construction".
• Be ready to do a short practical test on site. Arrive early with your own tools if you have them.
