Job Description

This property management company in Krugersdorp needs a plumber who arrives on time, fixes it properly and leaves the site clean. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

Location: Krugersdorp, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

The work, day to day

Clear blocked drains with a rodding machine and inspect lines with a drain camera
Install copper, PEX and PVC piping for new bathrooms and kitchens
Work on the emergency call-out roster for after-hours bursts
Issue plumbing Certificates of Compliance for completed installations
Take photos and complete the insurer's claim report after each geyser job
Order fittings from the supplier and keep the van stocked

Must-haves

Working knowledge of SANS 10252-1 and SANS 10254
PIRB registration as a Licensed Plumber, so you can issue plumbing CoCs
Code 08 licence and a clean driving record
Able to talk politely to home owners about damage and costs

Helpful, not essential

Experience with insurance repair work and claim paperwork
Heat pump and solar geyser installation experience
