Job Description

You'll turn messy data into reports managers actually use, for a short-term insurer in Isando. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Home base is a short-term insurer on the Isando side of Gauteng. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What your day looks like

Keep a data dictionary so everyone uses the same definitions
Automate weekly reports that used to take hours in Excel
Mask or remove personal information in data sets under POPIA
Present findings to managers in plain language with clear charts
Build ETL pipelines in SSIS, Azure Data Factory or Python
Meet business users to turn their questions into report requirements
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models

What you need

Able to explain what the numbers mean, not just show them
Careful with sensitive customer data
Degree in statistics, maths, computer science, economics or a related field
At least 2 years in a data or reporting role (not needed for graduate posts)
