Production Assistant (Chemical Blending)

You'll keep the line running at a meat processing plant in Prospecton, feeding, checking and packing product all shift. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

This post is Prospecton-based, with most of your time spent at a meat processing plant. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley
• Wear hairnets, beard covers and gloves in food-safe zones
• Feed raw material or empty packaging into the machine at the start of the line
• Change over packaging film and labels when the line switches product
• Record batch codes and counts on the hourly production sheet
• Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run

• Neat, reliable and on time for shift start
• Available for rotating day and night shifts
• Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area
• Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage

• Experience assisting on a packaging or filling machine
• Some basic first-aid training
• A food handler or basic HACCP awareness certificate

• Path to machine operator after six months
• Company transport on some night shifts
• Staff shop with discounted factory products
• Night-shift allowance on top of basic pay

• Mention that you can work rotating shifts right at the top. It is the first thing most factories filter on.
• Name the products you worked on before, like "biscuit line" or "juice bottling". Factory recruiters read that faster than a job title.
