Job Description

Machines set the pace at this snack food factory in Somerset West; you keep up and catch the faults. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is in Somerset West (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What your day looks like

Wear hairnets, beard covers and gloves in food-safe zones
Follow lock-out procedures when helping with cleaning inside machines
Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley
Check product for size, weight and seal faults and pull out rejects
Pack finished product into cases and stack them by batch number

You'll need

Medically fit; some food plants ask for a medical check
Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area
Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
Available for rotating day and night shifts
You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
