Truck Loader (Night Shift)

You'll load and offload trucks at a container unpacking yard in Brackenfell so every delivery goes out full and correct. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Home base is a container unpacking yard on the Brackenfell side of Western Cape.

• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop

• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• No criminal record
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips

• Past work as a driver's assistant
• Basic furniture assembly skills

• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
