Public Area Cleaner (Hotel)

You'll turn rooms around at a conference hotel in Krugersdorp so every guest walks into a room that feels new. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Home base is a conference hotel on the Krugersdorp side of Gauteng.

• Work through a room list, marking rooms clean on the housekeeping board
• Vacuum, dust and check the minibar in each room
• Load, wash, dry and press linen in the hotel laundry
• Strip and make beds to the hotel's standard, hospital corners included
• Log lost property with the guest's room number and date
• Keep your trolley stocked and neat before each shift
• Report maintenance faults like dripping taps or broken lights

• Friendly and polite if you meet guests in the corridor
• Available on weekends, holidays and in peak season
• Quick and thorough, with a target of about 14 to 16 rooms a shift
• Grade 10 or matric

• Staff accommodation at remote lodges
