Job Description

Clients in a suburban residential area in Ballito pay for fast response, and this crew delivers it. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

Home base is a suburban residential area on the Ballito side of KwaZulu-Natal. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

The work, day to day

Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates
Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details

What you need

Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
At least 2 years in guarding or response
SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
Calm under pressure and physically fit

Helpful, not essential

Advanced driving course
Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
