Rapid Response Officer (Farm Security) – Experienced

When a panic button goes off in a farming district in Ermelo, you are the one who arrives first. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is Ermelo-based, with most of your time spent at a farming district.

• Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
• Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
• Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over
• Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
• Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
• Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests

• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
• Clean criminal record and no pending cases
• SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
• Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving

• First-aid Level 2 or 3
• Advanced driving course

• Regular refresher shooting practice
• Response vehicle and firearm provided
• Group life cover through the provident fund
• Danger and night allowances
