Job Description

Serious work for a serious officer: armed response across a business park in Potchefstroom. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

Home base is a business park on the Potchefstroom side of North West.

The work, day to day

Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates
Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over
Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests

You'll need

Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
At least 2 years in guarding or response
SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
Calm under pressure and physically fit

Helpful, not essential

Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
Advanced driving course
