Job Description

Clients in a suburban residential area in Randburg pay for fast response, and this crew delivers it. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is Randburg-based, with most of your time spent at a suburban residential area.

The work, day to day

Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over
Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses

What you need

SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
Clean criminal record and no pending cases
Calm under pressure and physically fit

Nice if you have

Advanced driving course
First-aid Level 2 or 3
