Rapid Response Officer (Farm Security)

When a panic button goes off in a suburban residential area in Rustenburg, you are the one who arrives first. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a suburban residential area on the Rustenburg side of North West. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
• Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
• Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates
• Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
• Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
• Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over

• Clean criminal record and no pending cases
• At least 2 years in guarding or response
• SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
• PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
• Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
• Calm under pressure and physically fit

• First-aid Level 2 or 3
• SAPS, SANDF or reservist background
• Advanced driving course

• Group life cover through the provident fund
• Regular refresher shooting practice
• Danger and night allowances

• Bring the originals of your certificates to the interview. Armed companies verify them before a shooting test.
• Put your firearm competency and armed response course at the top. Without both, the CV is not read further.
