Armed Response Officer (Residential Patrols)

You'll answer alarms across a farming district in Potchefstroom in a marked vehicle, armed and ready. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a farming district on the Potchefstroom side of North West. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
• Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
• Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
• Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
• Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
• Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
• Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates

• PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
• Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
• Calm under pressure and physically fit

• Advanced driving course
• Knowledge of the local streets and sectors

• Response vehicle and firearm provided
• Regular refresher shooting practice
• Danger and night allowances
