Job Description

Blend in, watch closely and act lawfully: that is loss prevention at a fashion retail store in Coega. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Location: Coega, Eastern Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

The work, day to day

Help with stock counts and point out loss hot-spots
Detain suspects lawfully and call SAPS, then write a statement
Record every incident with photos, times and value of goods
Share trends with the store manager each week
Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft

What you need

PSIRA registration, Grade C at least
Knowledge of lawful arrest and search under the Criminal Procedure Act
Good report writing
Able to handle confrontation calmly

Nice if you have

Retail loss prevention course
Understanding of stock systems and shrinkage reports
Previous store detective experience with case outcomes
