Job Description

Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this container unpacking yard in Cape Town CBD, and you move the stock in between. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is a container unpacking yard on the Cape Town CBD side of Western Cape. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What your day looks like

Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off

Must-haves

Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
Willing to travel on routes that return late
