Job Description

Hit your collection targets at this vehicle finance collections floor in Benoni and your commission shows it. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Home base is a vehicle finance collections floor on the Benoni side of Gauteng.

What your day looks like

Record reasons for non-payment so the credit team can adjust policy.
Keep calls within the National Credit Act and the Debt Collectors Act rules.
Dial through your arrears book on the auto-dialler and confirm the debtor's identity.
Negotiate payment arrangements and set up DebiCheck mandates.
Hand accounts over for legal action once internal steps are exhausted.
Send written arrangements by SMS or email straight after each call.
Update debtor contact details from tracing searches.

What you need

Clear credit and criminal record
Target-driven and comfortable with commission
Registered, or willing to register, with the Council for Debt Collectors
You keep your tone respectful even when the debtor is not
At least 6 months in collections, sales or a call centre

Nice if you have

Knowledge of the NCA and prescription rules
Legal collections or attorney-firm background
